みなさん、こんばんは。
今日は青森ワッツとの試合があって、結果は73-71とようやく7連敗を脱出することができました。みなさん、辛抱強い応援を本当にありがとうございました。
7連敗していたので、普通は雰囲気とかも結構悪くなると思うんですけれども…。このチームに関しては選手・スタッフが一丸となってできることをみんなでやる、ということで前向きに徹底してやってくれました。今日に関しては先日負傷した栗原選手もメディカルスタッフが昼夜問わずずっとケアしてくれたり本人も本当に頑張ってリハビリをやってくれて（何時までやってたって言ってたかな…4時かな。）ちょっと変わった子ではあるんですけども笑、根性で治しましたって言ってたので、12人揃って試合ができて本当によかったと思います。
内容的にはまだバタバタしたところもあったんですけれども、勝ち取れたということで、これは本当にファンの皆さんの後押しと、演出チームやZgirlsやチームのみんなのおかげだと思います。本当にありがとうございました。
試合の内容もようやくやりたいディフェンスが全選手浸透し始めたな、と感じていて、上は36歳になる岡田から外国籍選手もルーキー2人に関しても頑張っていたし、ミスは起きるんですけれども、それぞれやりたいディフェンスをちゃんとできていたので非常によかったと思います。まずは自分たちのスタイルであるディフェンスをしっかりやろうということが選手みんなの意識の中にあって守り切れたので勝てたということが一つ。記者会見で聞かれたのは「オフェンスが何点でディフェンスが何点ですか？」ということでしたが、自分はいつも100点ということはなくて60点が合格点だと思っています。ディフェンスに関しては今日は80点くらいあげてもいいのかなと感じていて、逆にオフェンスは30~40点くらい。ですが今季やりたいスタイルも出てくるようになりました。試合後に自分も気付いたんですが、今日はフィールドゴールが29本成功している中でアシストが27、2回しかドリブルからのシュートがないということでした。福島戦であまりにも打ち放題になっていて荒れていたので、そこは違うから軸を作ろうということでやっていました。仙台はディフェンスがいいということもありますが、打ちあぐねたというよりは、ためらいが特に若手中心に出てしまっていてそこが課題だったので、そこをもう一つ上にいこうということで今日臨んで、しっかり打つところは打てていたし攻めるところは攻めて、狙いどころとしてちゃんと作れたのがよかったと思います。
ちょっと新しいスタイルが見え始めたのがいいことと、またそれぞれのいいところは出そうと今デザインをしていて、全然落とし込めていないのでこれからやっていきます。
あと今日ヒーローにも選ばれた紺野選手。彼は仙台の第2戦の時に笹倉選手をしっかり守ってほしいということで任せて、前半でちょっとやられてしまったのでGame2の後半は出していなかったんです。本人がそれからすごく考えているのか、練習中もいつになくいい男の顔をしていて、しっかり集中して一つずつ取り組んでいましたし、練習量も増えたのかな、と。今日は何だかやってくれるんじゃないかとスタッフとも話していたんですけれども、本当に今日、流れが悪くなりそうな時にしっかり身体をはってルーズボールを取ったりとか、彼の持ち味のディフェンスが全面に出ていました。こういう風に1節、1試合ごとに成長する若手は本当に教えていて楽しいし責任も感じるし、それに触発されたのか高木も栗原もよかったし、ディフェンスのところはだいぶイメージもついてきました。今日の若手にはためらうようなところも見えなかったので、このチームは本当に成長が早いなと感じます。若手にずっと声をかけ続けてくれる岡田や綿貫、バーンズの存在も本当に大きいです。もっといいチームになると思います。次は愛媛なんですが、愛媛さんは8連敗していて今日1勝ということですがつい最近3人目の外国籍が合流していて、リバウンドでもトップ10に入っているライアン・ステファンがベンチから出てくるというとんでもないチームですし琉球から来た選手は本当にすごいフィニッシャーなのでまた大変な試合になると思います。みんなお互いいろいろな環境の中でやりくりしながらなので、大変ですが応援お願いします。なんとか勝ち星をつなげて返ってきたいと思います。今日はチームみんなよく頑張りました。これからも引き続き成長していきます。宜しくお願いします。

Today we had a game against Aomori Watts, and the result was 73-71, and we finally escaped our seventh straight loss. I would like to thank everyone for their patience and support.
Normally, the atmosphere would be pretty bad after seven straight losses. However, the players and staff worked together as one to do what we could, and we did a positive and thorough job. Today, the medical staff took care of Kurihara, who was injured the other day and night, and he worked really hard on his rehabilitation (how late did they say it was until 4:00 p.m.?). He’s a bit of a strange kid, but he said he healed himself with guts, so I’m really happy that all 12 of us were able to compete together.
It was still a bit sloppy in terms of content, but we were able to win, which is really thanks to the support of our fans, the production team, Zgirls and the team. Thank you very much.
I felt that all the players were finally starting to play the kind of defense we wanted to play. From Okada, who is now 36 years old, to the two foreign players and the two rookies, we did our best, and although mistakes did happen, each player played the kind of defense we wanted to play, which was very good. First of all, all the players were aware of the fact that we were going to play our own style of defense, and we were able to defend, so one thing we were able to do is win. The question I was asked at the press conference was, “How many points does your offense score and how many points does your defense score? But I don’t always score 100 points, and I think 60 is a passable score. Defensively, I felt that I could have given 80 points today, and conversely, the offense was about 30-40 points. But the style I want to play this season has come out. After the game, I noticed that today, out of 29 successful field goals, I had 27 assists and only two shots off the dribble. It was rough against Fukushima because we were hitting too many shots all over the place, so we were trying to create an axis because it was different there. Sendai’s defense is good, but we were hesitant, especially among the young players, rather than hesitating, and that was the problem. I’m glad that I was able to make it right.
It’s good that we started to see a new style and I’m trying to show the good points of each style. And Konno who was chosen as a hero today. When we played the second game in Sendai, we asked him to protect Sasakura and he got beaten up in the first half of the game, so we didn’t play him in the second half of Game2. Maybe he’s been thinking about it a lot since then, and he’s been looking better than ever during practice, concentrating on one thing at a time. The staff and I were expecting him to do well today, but today, when the flow of the game seemed to be slowing down, he was able to use his body to get a loose ball, and his characteristic defensive skills were on full display. It’s really fun to teach the young players, who grow with each passing game, and I feel a sense of responsibility, and maybe that’s what inspired them. I didn’t see any hesitation on the part of the younger players today, so I feel that this team is growing really fast. Okada, Watanuki, and Barnes have been very encouraging to the younger players, and they have been a big help. I think we will become a better team. Next up is Ehime. They have lost eight in a row and today they won one game, but they have a third foreign player joining them recently, and they are a tremendous team with a top ten rebounder in Ryan Stephan coming off the bench, and a player from Ryukyu is a really great finisher. So it will be a tough game again. We are dealing with a variety of circumstances, so it will be tough, but I would like to ask for your support. We will try to get a winning record and get back to the team. Everyone worked hard today as a team. We will continue to grow as a team. We will continue to grow and improve.
